The Scales of Justice represents honesty, truth, and

 fairness through the administration of justice.

 

PERSONNEL SECURITY - FOUNDATION BUILDING

This segment will develop the basis of honesty and wrong-doing as these traits relate to rule abiders and those who breach security.  Discussion will address the positive behaviors called "Intrinsic Motivation" that is used to counter dishonesty which is detrimental for people relied upon to act ethically in positions of trust and responsibility.  Consider the following: 

Salient Points

Point # 1  -  Is there a connection between committed, happy, and dedicated employees and wrong-doing such as internal theft, security violations, or poor job performance?  In essence, can both co-exist in an organization?
Point # 2  -  Can you really profile a honest or dishonest person?
Point # 3  -  Is fear a good deter to keep people in check from committing wrong-doing?  Are there other methods to regulate honest behavior?
Point # 4 -  How would you establish criteria to determine who should be allowed to hold a position of trust and responsibility?
