TERRORISM

Considering that this topic is very popular given current international events, an entire semester could be dedicated to this subject.  Lectures will be divided into two segments.  A brief overview of terrorism and anarchy will be provided that will discuss criminality and how it interface with the security profession.  Following this, our outside guest speaker will focus on the current and specific prevailing threats of international terrorism. 

Salient Points

Point # 1 - Are Arabs, middle-eastern ethnic people, and other people of color being unjustly profiled in an attempt to thwart terrorism?
Point # 2 - Does the method of profiling really work to detect terrorist?
Point # 3 - What are the 21st century threats to be used by terrorist and other adversaries toward information technology?
